A Summer Giveaway that doubled as a developer survey

A points-based MacBook Air M2 giveaway ran across DEVCON’s channels and chapter events. Entrants earned points by completing Zoho Creator’s low-code survey, starting a free trial, following partner and chapter channels, answering the DEVCON Developer Survey, and signing up as volunteers.

What we learned for future roadshows

What worked

  • A two-week lead time per stop was enough.
  • Multi-school code camps: more attendees per stop, fewer venues to manage.
  • Pairing camps with chapter meetups and local events multiplied reach.

Where to improve

  • Hold a pre-production meeting to lock transportation and accommodations.
  • For the Visayas and Mindanao, budget for flights and visit fewer, bigger venues.
  • Start each city with a courtesy visit to the LGU.
