DEVCONIn March 2026, the Sui Foundation and DEVCON Philippines launched a year-long partnership to help educators, IT students, and developers code in Move on Sui, delivered through DEVCON’s nationwide chapters and regional hubs.
The global tech landscape evolves faster than academic programs can adapt. Filipino students and developers outside Metro Manila often get the least access to hands-on emerging-tech training.

Sui donated AI-lensed robotics kits and micro:bits to DEVCON Kids. Students at Iloilo National High School are already building interactive, creative robotics, and the support has reached learners in Pangasinan and Iloilo.
The goal, in the words of DEVCON Kids Founder Pam Ros Damarillo: lower the intimidation factor of tech and turn curiosity into a career path.
The Move Smart Contracts Code Camps launched at Colegio de San Juan de Letran’s College of Engineering and IT during the She Is DEVCON celebrations. The camps are free, hands-on, and help educators bring emerging tech into their own classes.
Every participant deploys a Move smart contract on Sui mainnet and ships a public Vercel app, so their authorship is immutable and verifiable.
After Manila, the camps rolled out through local chapters and partner schools in Bukidnon, Iloilo, Laguna, and Legazpi, alongside AI-era developer events from Makati to Mindanao. Mysten Labs Developer Advocate Harrison Kim framed the aim: give builders the right tools for a world shaped by AI, backed by strong local community support.

Manila was the pilot. Delivery improved rapidly after every code camp: completion climbed from 22.7% in Manila to 52.9% in Bukidnon, then 86.6% in Iloilo, and held at 70%+ in Laguna and Legazpi.
