Technology with compassion, for every sector
Bukidnon ran 37 events in 2025, reaching out-of-school youth, freelancers, MSME owners, students, educators, and Indigenous learners. BukFest 2025 alone gathered 6,000+ participants over a week of 12 main events, tailored for agriculture, business, education, culture, the arts, and music.
At She is DEVCON: Shertified, the chapter launched MAVIC with the GAD Office, a system that helps partner agencies monitor cases of abused women, alongside an ICP code camp. Through Bits of Light, volunteers brought tech education and care services to Indigenous learners of Luyungan Farm School, a school for children rescued from child labor and early marriage, and helped parents travel from their villages to join.
Next: adopting the school under the 2026 DEVCON Bukidnon Tech Series, “From Basics to Brilliance”, starting with teacher training so tech experts stay in the school community.
